The Sheraton LAX is a pretty nice hotel in and of itself, although you're somewhat limited, by location, on what you can do. The hotel is on the strip as you leave the airport, along a long line of hotels and office buildings.
Champions Sportsbar is just down the street. I'd recommend eating elsewhere and then go watch the games. I've eaten there a couple times now and have yet to have a good meal.
Subway (the restaurant) is next door and several others are a short walk to the east (Denny's, Carl's Jr.) and to the north (In -n- Out Burger, and several others).
The pool is very nice as it boasts padded lounge chairs, cabanas, and service from the bar/reastaurant.
To top it off, there is a Starbuck's in the lobby.
