The Sheraton Four Points in Milwaukee isn't much of a hotel for crewmembers. Even though there is a crew lounge with internet, and morning donuts and coffee, the wing that the airliners are in is out of the free wireless range that the rest of the hotel enjoys.
Most of the restaurants nearby are fast food (Rocky Rococco's Pizza, KFC, McDonald's, and Dunkin Donuts) with the exception of a Perkins and a Chinese restaurant, which I am told is pretty good.
The hotel has an indoor pool and that's about it. Long layovers equal boredom and more boredom.

Saskatoon Layover
The Radisson is located in the heart of downtown Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It has all the typical ammenities...free internet, pool, and sleep number beds.
Within just a couple blocks are a sizeable movie theater, and just around the corner is a nice little Irish pub, called O'Shea's. I had the fish and chips, which was pretty good. The chips were very good with a little malted vinegar, the fish, although pretty good, was more breading than cod. Nevertheless, it was worth the price I paid ( I think around $8.95).
If I end up in Saskatoon again, I am sure I'll go back to O'Shea's.

San Diego Layover
The Holiday Inn Downtown is a decent hotel in and of itself. It has the pool and internet access that you would expect. The best part of the hotel though is that it is close to so much.
Whether you plan to go to the Marina, Harbor, Gaslamp district, Little Italy, or go shopping, all are within a few minutes walk from the hotel.
The Gaslamp is probably the best area for food and nightlife. I don't have specific names (as its been awhile since I've been there) but its difficult not to find what you're looking for there.
Little Italy has a great number of restaurants to choose from, whether you're looking for pizza or a finer Italian restaurant. Ironically, The Princess Pub and Grille sits amongst the Italians for a nice alternative. The bangers are very good, just make sure you are prepared if you want to add the spicy mustard!! www.princesspub.com

Las Vegas Layover
Circus Circus is pretty much a dump! Luckily, you don't have to sit there on your layover. It has the requisite casino and pool, but just about anywhere else would be a better option.
The strip offers limitless choices in dining, etc. The north end is close to Fashion Square(?) mall, where there is a Starbucks and plenty of shopping. A Walgreens is across the street from the hotel as well for toiletries and snacks.
Hopefully I'll have reason to post from another hotel/casino, sometime in the near future!

Denver Layover
The Holiday Inn DIA is not where you want to have an extended layover. Althought the ammenities are decent, and there is food nearby. The hotel sits in no man's land along the freeway between the airport and Denver.
The hotel has an indoor pool as well as a bar and restaurant. There is a small workout room adjacent to the pool. A small crew lounge is available on the main floor, with coffee and (I believe) pastries in the morning.
Across the street is a KFC and Chipotle. Down the street, a few minutes walk away, is an Einsteins Bagels, and a franchise restaurant (I think Chilis).
Other than that, I hope you like lots of TV

Los Angeles Layover
The Sheraton LAX is a pretty nice hotel in and of itself, although you're somewhat limited, by location, on what you can do. The hotel is on the strip as you leave the airport, along a long line of hotels and office buildings.
Champions Sportsbar is just down the street. I'd recommend eating elsewhere and then go watch the games. I've eaten there a couple times now and have yet to have a good meal.
Subway (the restaurant) is next door and several others are a short walk to the east (Denny's, Carl's Jr.) and to the north (In -n- Out Burger, and several others).
The pool is very nice as it boasts padded lounge chairs, cabanas, and service from the bar/reastaurant.
To top it off, there is a Starbuck's in the lobby.

Seattle Layover
The Holiday Inn Renton is located in suburban Seattle, without many attractions to get to, but several restaurants are nearby. Restaurants include Chili's, McDonald's, Yankee Grill, KFC, Arby's and others.
There is a Starbuck's and a grocery store nearby, and a Movie Theater is next door.
Internet access is available throughout the hotel, as well as two computers in the lobby.
There is an outdoor pool, but it rarely gets used. Wait 'til a warmer weather layover!
