Milwaukee Layover

The Sheraton Four Points in Milwaukee isn't much of a hotel for crewmembers. Even though there is a crew lounge with internet, and morning donuts and coffee, the wing that the airliners are in is out of the free wireless range that the rest of the hotel enjoys.

Most of the restaurants nearby are fast food (Rocky Rococco's Pizza, KFC, McDonald's, and Dunkin Donuts) with the exception of a Perkins and a Chinese restaurant, which I am told is pretty good.

The hotel has an indoor pool and that's about it. Long layovers equal boredom and more boredom.

Saskatoon Layover

The Radisson is located in the heart of downtown Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It has all the typical ammenities...free internet, pool, and sleep number beds.

Within just a couple blocks are a sizeable movie theater, and just around the corner is a nice little Irish pub, called O'Shea's. I had the fish and chips, which was pretty good. The chips were very good with a little malted vinegar, the fish, although pretty good, was more breading than cod. Nevertheless, it was worth the price I paid ( I think around $8.95).

If I end up in Saskatoon again, I am sure I'll go back to O'Shea's.
